Summary: Asonahores president Juan Bancalari is calling on the industry to join the 2026 Trade Expo. A key date for Dominican tourism.

## Article

The president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism (Asonahores), Juan Bancalari, has made a clear call: you need to be at the [Asonahores 2026 Trade Expo](https://www.arecoa.com/videos/2026/08/27/bancalari-anima-a-participar-en-la-expo-comercial-de-asonahores-2026/). He did it through a video, urging hoteliers, suppliers, and industry professionals to book their space. And I, having watched this event grow, say: watch out, this is not just another booth.

The Trade Expo is where deals are closed, products are tested, and trends are measured. For the Dominican industry, currently enjoying strong arrival and occupancy numbers, taking part here is almost a must if you want to keep the pace. I'm not only talking about the big resorts in Punta Cana or Bavaro, but also local suppliers who find in this fair a unique window to reach the right buyers.

My take is clear: those who register early make the most of it. Last year we saw significant deals closed in the aisles, sometimes more than in formal meetings. So if you have something to offer Dominican hospitality, don't overthink it. The [call from Bancalari](https://www.arecoa.com/videos/2026/08/27/bancalari-anima-a-participar-en-la-expo-comercial-de-asonahores-2026/) is for you. The sector needs new faces, fresh solutions, and people eager to do business. See you there.
