## Article

The **Bayahibe 10K** is back and it's coming in strong. The 11th edition of this race, which blends sport and sun, will take place on **September 6** in **La Romana** and expects to gather more than **600 runners**, both domestic and international. That's according to [Dominican Today](https://dominicantoday.com/bayahibe-10k-to-attract-more-than-600-runners-in-la-romana/).

To me, this sends a clear message: Dominican sports tourism is not just alive, it's gaining ground. This isn't a massive headline-grabbing event, but it brings **600 people** who arrive, stay, eat, spend and, hopefully, come back. All set in a powerhouse destination like Bayahibe.

I like seeing events like this keep growing. We don't need an Olympic medal to attract visitors. With consistency and good organization, these 10 kilometers become a **real opportunity** for La Romana and for the country brand. The date is set for September, and we'll be there watching that peloton run.
