Summary: A DIGESETT truck overturned Wednesday night after colliding with a private vehicle at the Friusa traffic light in Bávaro.

## Article

A **DIGESETT** truck overturned Wednesday night at the **Friusa** traffic light in the middle of **Bávaro**, after colliding with a private vehicle, according to [Dominican Today](https://dominicantoday.com/digesett-truck-overturns-after-collision-with-private-vehicle-in-bavaro/). The crash happened at one of the busiest intersections in the Punta Cana tourism hub, an area where local traffic, tour buses and hotel staff shuttles all share the same roads.

The collision forced crews to move the DIGESETT unit, the very agency tasked with road safety enforcement across the country. That is as far as the confirmed facts go. Any specific cause or liability is now in the hands of the authorities, who must clarify how the impact unfolded.

Beyond the single incident, the context matters. **Friusa** is a junction where every season brings more vehicles tied directly to the hotel industry and to the tour operators moving visitors around. Any crash at that spot is a reminder of what is at stake: the safety perception of a destination that welcomes millions of arrivals a year and sustains a large share of employment and tax revenue in La Altagracia province.
