Summary: Julio Espínola and Eduardo Lomba won the Adoexpo golf tournament at Corales Golf Course in Punta Cana. The event also doubles as a tourism business platform.

## Article

Julio Espínola and Eduardo Lomba took the overall gross honors at the Adoexpo golf tournament, according to [Dominican Today](https://dominicantoday.com/julio-espinola-and-eduardo-lomba-win-top-honors-at-adoexpo-golf-tournament/). It happened at the 21st edition, played at Corales Golf Course in Punta Cana, a venue that is already part of the regular meetings tourism circuit in the east of the country.

The Dominican Association of Exporters choosing this course to bring its people together is no small detail. Golf moves business decisions, and in destinations like Punta Cana a good tournament becomes a natural extension of tourism promotion. Exporters, hoteliers and investors share the same fairway today, and from there come contacts and meetings that later close somewhere else. It is also a message to the market: the Dominican Republic can organize international events with courses and services at the highest level.

My take: Adoexpo knows that sport and business ride in the same cart. A win like this matters less for the trophy and more for the showcase it gives the destination. For Dominican tourism, this kind of gathering strengthens a brand that already sells itself and reminds golf travelers that Punta Cana is not just beach.
