Summary: The luxury chain confirms the hire behind its Miches debut and tightens the race for the premium segment in the Dominican East.

## Article

Four Seasons is making its move in the Dominican Republic. The chain has already appointed the man who will run its new Miches resort, as reported by [Acento](https://acento.com.do/turismo/four-seasons-prepara-su-llegada-a-rd-en-2027-y-designa-al-director-del-nuevo-resort-en-miches-9764004.html), and keeps **2027** as the opening year. The hire is no small detail: whoever takes that seat sets standards, builds the team and shapes the destination relationship months before the first booking.

Miches is no longer a promise. With **Four Seasons** anchoring its offer, the area now sits alongside Punta Cana and Samaná on the East's luxury map, and that move ripples out: rates, local jobs, suppliers and international visibility for the entire El Seibo province.

The investor read is simple. Every premium opening pushes the price ceiling higher and forces the rest of the supply to reposition. Anyone operating in the area would be wise to revisit their pitch before 2027, not after.
