Summary: The Canary Islands hotel group is courting high-spending Argentine travelers with its three new luxury resorts in Punta Cana.

## Article

Lopesan Hotel Group has turned its attention to Argentine travelers to promote its **three new luxury resorts in Punta Cana**, as reported by [Arecoa](https://www.arecoa.com/hoteles/2026/10/01/lopesan-sale-a-conquistar-el-mercado-argentino-con-sus-resorts-de-lujo-en-punta-cana/). The Canary Islands company is making a commercial move in a market that has steadily recovered volume toward the Caribbean in recent years, with an average spend profile that fits high-end product well.

The logic holds up. Argentina brings a traveler used to high standards, price-sensitive in low season and highly receptive to premium all-inclusive packages. If Lopesan places its offer there, it goes straight into competition with groups that have been working that market from Buenos Aires and Córdoba for years. The key lies in how the product is presented at origin, not just what is offered at destination.

The read for the Dominican sector is positive. Punta Cana adds one more European brand betting on luxury product and widens its source base, today heavily concentrated in the US and Canada. The more markets open up with a high-spend profile, the better rates hold and the more tax revenue and jobs stay in the area.
