Cap Cana and MIVHED push to modernize tourism permits
Cap Cana Ciudad Destino and the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED) are tackling an issue the hotel sector has been demanding for years: modernizing permitting. The discussion «Toward efficient permitting: challenges and solutions», as Suelo Caribe reports, brought together government officials, developers, investors and builders.
This is no small bureaucratic matter. Every permit that stalls, every application that gets stuck, means a hotel project delayed, an investor hesitating, jobs waiting. So seeing a ministry and a private destination at the same table is a sign that public-private collaboration works when there is real will.
