Flight simulators to debut at 2026 Santo Domingo Book Fair

The 28th Santo Domingo International Book Fair will have an unexpected guest in 2026. Visitors will be able to sit inside a real flight cockpit thanks to the interactive simulators that Dominican civil aviation plans to install, according to Dominican Today. The event takes place this fall in Santo Domingo.

Beyond the eye-catching hook, the move has substance. Dominican aviation is in a sustained expansion phase and needs new talent: pilots, technicians, controllers. A simulator at a fair that draws hundreds of thousands of people is a direct recruitment tool, especially for young people who have never considered the sector as a career path.
