JetBlue rules Dominican skies, Arajet takes third
JetBlue remained the top carrier in the Dominican Republic in July with 424,194 passengers moved, according to statistics from the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) as reported by Infotur Dominicano. The New York-based airline keeps dominating flights from the U.S. Northeast, its historic stronghold.
American Airlines follows in second place, but the real surprise is Arajet, now the third-largest operator in the country. The Dominican airline keeps adding routes and frequencies, and it shows in the numbers.
