Marriott surveys Caribbean travelers for 2027
Marriott International unveiled the results of its annual travel trends study for the Caribbean and Latin America, as Suelo Caribe reports. The survey polled frequent travelers across seven key markets: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The goal is straightforward, to understand how Latin Americans plan their trips heading into 2027.
Having the Dominican Republic on that list is no small matter. We are both a source market and a destination, and that gives Marriott and local hotel chains a very useful picture of their natural customer. The study covers the full travel cycle, from planning through to the final experience.
For the Dominican sector, the takeaway is direct. Knowing what that traveler wants before they book lets hotels fine-tune product, pricing and promotion months ahead. Chains already operating in Punta Cana, Santo Domingo and Samaná have a concrete road map here for the next cycle.
