Puntacana Resort kicks off the 9th edition of the PGA Tour Event 2026
Puntacana Resort has officially teed off the ninth edition of the Corales Puntacana Championship PGA Tour Event 2026, as reported by Arecoa. The tournament takes place on the stunning Corales course, designed by Tom Fazio, putting the Dominican Republic's eastern coast back on the global golf map.
In my view, this is more than just a sports event. It confirms that Punta Cana no longer competes solely as a sun-and-beach destination: it has carved out a spot on the world's premium golf circuit. The mix of luxury hotels, top-tier service, and a course that challenges the world's best is an unbeatable selling point for specialized tour operators.
The impact goes beyond the greens. Each edition generates extra hotel occupancy, global media coverage, and business for nearby resorts. Best of all, the destination keeps proving it can host world-class events effortlessly. Can anyone beat that?
