Luxury tourism is the segment of high spending travellers who seek exclusivity, flawless service and tailored experiences, and pay very high rates for them. It is less price sensitive and more crisis resistant, which is why the sector chases it to hold margin. In Spain it pulls hotel investment toward five star properties and high end refurbishments.
