Iberojet is giving the direct Madrid-La Romana route another shot, slotting it into its winter 2026-2027 schedule. According to Infotur Dominicano, the first flight is set for November 16, 2026. This is a solid move for direct connectivity between Spain and one of the most promising tourism hubs in the Dominican Republic.
I see this as a win: more connectivity, more choices, and yet another sign that the East Coast remains the crown jewel of Caribbean tourism for European travelers.
