Punta Bergantín and DREAM Project to train local youth for hotels

Punta Bergantín and the DREAM Project Foundation have signed an agreement to bring the «A Ganar» program to the youth of Montellano, as reported by Arecoa. The initiative aims to give technical training in key areas for hotel and tourism operations.
This is no summer workshop. The Puerto PlataPuerto PlataA north-coast city and province, birthplace of Dominican tourism, home to the cable car up Mount Isabel de Torres, Victorian architecture and the Amber Cove cruise port. resort project is taking local talent development seriously. And that matters: if the new hub will need hundreds of skilled employees, it's better they come from the communities surrounding the development. It's a bet on service quality and destination reputation.
The «A Ganar» program already has experience in other Dominican destinations and now lands in Montellano with direct support from Punta Bergantín. In my view, this is the kind of alliance that sets a brick-and-mortar project apart from one with a destination soul. If they manage to engage and train the youth well, the resort not only gains loyal employees but the whole community rides the wave of tourism development.
