Run of house

Run of house is selling a room without guaranteeing which one, letting the hotel assign whatever suits it on arrival. It gives flexibility to place inventory better and usually comes with a cheaper rate. It is common in groups and bargain rates, in exchange for the guest giving up the choice of view or floor.

Example A run of house rate is cheaper but the hotel decides the room based on how occupancy lands.
