DR hosts experts on disasters at airports, ports and communities
Santo Domingo hosted the 2026 edition of the International Seminar on Disasters at Airports, Ports and Communities. According to Arecoa, specialists from Latin America and the Caribbean gathered in the capital to share emergency strategies for critical infrastructure.
This is not a minor issue for a country that lives on tourism. Airports like Punta Cana or Las Américas and the cruise ports of Samaná and La Romana are the gateway for millions of travelers.
