Segovia has just opened a 5-star hotel inside a 15th-century palace. The news, published by Hosteltur, highlights a renovation that keeps the original structure while adding all the luxury of a five-star property. For me, always watching what happens in the Caribbean, this makes me think: what if we did the same in the Dominican Republic with some of our colonial palaces?

Although the case is European, in the DR we have architectural gems - such as in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo - that could follow this model. Cultural luxury tourism is a global trend and, as the same source notes, inland Spain is taking advantage of it. Will we do the same?
