The mention is no accident: Punta Cana and Bávaro remain the assets pulling in the most international bookings during the Caribbean high season, and winter 2026 looks set to be another strong cycle for the country.

Beyond the flattering headline, what matters is what sits behind it. Every winter booking is a flight that lands, an occupied room, a tour sold and a tax receipt that hits the Treasury.
