ITA Airways lands in Santo Domingo with a weekly flight
ITA Airways will operate in the Dominican Republic for the first time. The Italian carrier will connect Santo Domingo with a weekly frequency, as announced by the MITUR. It is a new European operator entering the Dominican market and a route that opens the country to Italian travellers.
Italy is a heavyweight source market in the Caribbean, and until now flying to Santo Domingo from Rome or Milan meant layovers. A direct weekly flight changes the equation for long-haul tourists and for Dominicans travelling to Europe. Las Américas airport adds another international flag to its showcase.
